Dirty Kanza 2019 – EF Gone Racing

The latest video from the folks over at Rapha!

“The alternative calendar is our attempt at changing the status quo in cycling. Together with EF Education First Pro Cycling, we want to expand the sport’s horizons to make it a more engaging and entertaining prospect for all. We’ve been waiting a while for a race tough enough to get us started but, with the Garmin Dirty Kanza – a 200-mile gravel grinder in rural Kansas – the waiting is over. A trio of the EF team’s WorldTour pros swapped tarmac for trail and invited us along for the ride. Now, we bring the story of the race to you.”

EF Gone Racing documents the highs and lows the riders’ experience at Dirty Kanza, whether that’s Alex Howes “coming apart pretty bad”, or puncture after puncture for Taylor Phinney who sums it up by saying, “people just come here to lose it.” Still to come this year, Leadville 100 MTB, GBDURO, Three Peaks Cyclocross, and the Taiwan KOM Challenge will offer up a range of challenges for the riders of EF Education First as they continue to explore alternative racing.
