Podia Launch Roadventures: Guided adventures through the Tatra Mountains
High up in the Tatra mountains, marking the border between Slovakia and Poland, remote mountain passes thread between the precipitous rock faces. For those who want to break free from the classics and discover the lost roads of Southern Poland, Roadventures offer four days of guided exploration.
What are Roadventures
Roadventures is a new creation from Podia, the Krakow-based blog that exploded over the world’s media with their inspirational images and films that showcased the beauty of the unexplored region. Owners Max and Magda Burgess now offer a long weekend of riding exploration, including four nights single or double occupancy, small groups of six to eight cyclists and the full assistance of a support vehicle with a trained mechanic. Roadventures guests can enjoy staying in traditional log cabins on the shores of a lake overlooked by the Niedzica medieval castle.
The riding will be enjoyed in the Tatra Mountains, the highest of the Carpathian Mountains towering over 2500 m. The high cols and majestic mountain passes make this region the domain of the rider looking for something new and unique. Standing like a wall, the mountains form an important barrier to air mass movement in Central Europe and provide incredible vistas from the forgotten roads.
Roadventures dates and cost
There are currently two Tatra Roadventures planned for 2017: 24th – 28th May 2017 (€850pp) & 21st – 25th June 2017 (€950pp). All prices include transfers from and to Krakow airport, breakfast and evening meals as well as ride nutrition and hydration.
