Bohemian Border Bash Gravel Ride

The Bohemian Border Bash is a multi-day Gravel riding event held in the heart of one of Central Europe’s most beautiful National Parks, on the border between Germany and Czech Republic. The Bash is not a race, but rather a collection of inspiring rides with like-minded gravel riders. Read on for more info from the organisers themselves!

The Bash is part of 3T’s broader Jeroboam World Wide Gravel Series, offering medium, long, and ultra-endurance gravel events around the globe. Several years in development, our event has inspired many colleagues from within the cycling industry and is enjoying generous support in its inaugural public edition from 3T, Chimpanzee Nutrition, WTB, Ass Savers, PEdAL ED, Wahoo, and Komoot.

Riders can register for The Bash – the full multi-day main event – or can choose from two other options based on their endurance riding aspirations or schedules. A Little Bash is offered for riders with busy schedules who still want to experience the serene gravel & backroads of northern Bohemia, and a Big Bash for riders looking for that extra distance challenge.

The Bash

This is the main event – a VIP camp that will have you fully engrossed in gravel for the whole extended weekend. Classic Bohemian mini cabin camp lodging and meals are provided from Thursday, September 12 to Sunday, September 15, so riders can fully immerse themselves in the Bohemia Gravel experience. The fee to register for The Bash is 250€, inclusive of food/drink, some beer, lodging in our small cabins, and ride support.

The Big Bash

Big Bash is the long-distance ride for Randonneurs looking to truly challenge themselves. The 300km long Gravel Adventure will test your determination and will, as you go far and wide to hit not only the best gravel roads of the region but also some of the most amazing vistas the Czech & Germany borderlands have to offer. Even if you decide to camp overnight out on the ride, you will still be back in time to celebrate your riding accomplishment together with the rest of the gravelers at the main party on Saturday night. Cost is 150€. Camping and meals provided.

The Little Bash

Little Bash is just one day of riding, but you still will hit the gravel highlights. No time to come for the longer weekend but still want to ride with us? The Little Bash lets you drop into camp on Friday evening, ride together Saturday & party through the night, then head back home after breakfast on Sunday. The cost is 150€, and Camping and meals are still provided.

Bohemian Saxon Switzerland National Park

The National Park bears its name thanks to two Swiss artists Adrian Zingg and Anton Graff, who were appointed by the Dresden Academy of Art in 1766. The two painters were so inspired by the natural beauty of the Sandstone Cliffs & Rock Pinnacles of this place that they started to call the area Saxon Switzerland, Sächsische Schweiz in German. The park is well known among climbers thanks to approximately 1000 climbing peaks (pinnacles), as well as to hikers and a growing number of cyclists like us. Its quiet gravel and car-free paved forest roads make it a prime location to ride bikes, with the modern gravel bike the perfect tool to explore the area. The region is easily accessible by both train and car, and by extension of course by bike.

We look forward to you joining us in September, as like-minded gravel riders come together for an extended weekend of riding, good food & beer, and expanding our circle of friends on bikes. Come close out the summer with us. And we’ll share our favorite cache of gravel roads, hidden amongst the forests & rocks in the heart of Central Europe.
