Designed as a true all-rounder for racing, it combines a fast-rolling tread with reliable puncture protection. The directional grooves and high-quality cotton casing are engineered to deliver top-level grip and comfort. We tested the standard version – without the special inserts developed by Vittoria.
Cotton Leading the Charge? – The Vittoria Corsa Pro TR in Our 2025 Road Tire Test
The Vittoria Corsa Pro TR put in a solid overall performance in our test, though it isn’t quite on par with the best models. Out on the road, this shows in a ride that feels slightly less lively and not quite as efficient as the fastest tires on test. The lab results back this up: with a rolling resistance of 13.9 watts, it falls noticeably behind the front-runners. In fact, the Corsa Pro TR trails the Continental GP 5000 S TR by 2.9 watts, and is around 2 watts behind competitors from Challenge and Pirelli. When it comes to grip, however, the Corsa Pro TR delivers. Its supple casing and grippy rubber compound provide dependable traction on tarmac. There can be slight loss of grip under braking, though it remains easy to control. In corners, the tire feels precise and responsive, conforming well to the road surface.
Compliance is another strong point. At the right pressure, the Vittoria is impressively smooth and vibration-damping, especially on cobbles or rough asphalt. Grip is more limited on loose gravel, but with the right setup, the Corsa Pro inspires confidence nonetheless. One of the Vittoria’s standout characteristics is puncture protection, achieving top scores in both the puncture and pinch-flat tests, just behind the category-leading Continental. Fitting it is straightforward, although it did require a bit more sealant and time to fully seal during our test. On the bike, the Corsa Pro TR stands out with its distinctive look. The light-coloured sidewalls with their visible cotton weave give it a classic look that’s perfect for heritage-style builds. That said, if you’re hoping for a stealthy all-black version, you’re out of luck.

The Vittoria Corsa Pro TR blends classic aesthetics with modern performance. Thanks to excellent grip, reliable puncture protection, and a supple, compliant ride, it excels across a range of surfaces. The only real compromise is efficiency, as there are faster options out there for pure racers. However, if you value a comfortable ride, dependability, and a premium look, the Vittoria Corsa Pro TR is a compelling choice for both training and racing – though it does come at a relatively high price.
