There is a better way – under this guiding principle Velocio is striving for more sustainability in cycling apparel. In addition to a film on the topic, the Americans have also launched a repair service for damaged clothing. You can find all the information here.

Velocio has been striving for more sustainability in cycling apparel for a while already. It’s no surprise that all current jerseys are made from recycled fabrics and that one percent of the annual turnover is donated to environmental and climate-related causes. Now the company wants to raise awareness of this issue among customers and is launching the film “The Trouble With Bike Apparel”. You can see the whole film here:

One of the most important ways to reduce the carbon footprint of fashion – and that includes cycling apparel – is to buy less and wear each piece longer. Velocio want to promote this approach and launch a repair service for damaged items.

However, for a global brand like Velocio, shipping back and forth between customer and repair also plays an important role and creates additional CO2 emissions. To limit this factor, the company works with regional partners. For the EU, What Happend in Slovenia take care of repairs, while Apidura cover the UK and Vélocolour Canada.
