Issue #013 Review

PEDAL ED Tagi Merino Sweater & TSUIN REVERSIBLE VEST in review

It looks good and it’s also really practical. We combined the PEdAL ED Tagi Merino sweater with the TSUIN REVERSIBLE VEST and discovered our new favourite autumn outfit. Read on to find out why.

You can’t look good and be comfortable, right? At least that’s what they say. They also say that there is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing. But functional clothing suitable for bad weather usually doesn’t look good. Staying warm and looking good, that’d be the ticket! You don’t have to suffer in the cold or in front of the mirror – at least that’s what PEdAL ED promises with the merino pullover and reversible vest. When it comes to functionality, both tick all kinds of boxes. The TSUIN REVERSIBLE VEST combines windproof fabric with an insulated lining and can be easily reversed depending on the application. While it is recommended to wear the side with reflective elements and chest pocket on the outside for cycling, and the other side with two pockets otherwise, we found that we usually wore the vest with the red side out, as this worked best in combination with our burgundy merino pullover. The PEdAL ED TSUIN REVERSIBLE VEST is available in two colour options: black on one side and grey on the other or in burgundy red and navy blue, as with our model. The vest is available for € 160 and comes in a total of seven sizes from XXS to XXL.

Slick
Just pull it over your head and snuggle up. The zipper on the collar makes it possible
Warm and cosy
Anything you put into the chest pocket will also benefit from the merino wool
Easily accessible and safely stowed
The back pockets are ideal for keys, cash and snacks

The sweater is made in Italy using pure merino wool. From a functional point of view, merino fulfils several purposes: it not only keeps you warm, but it also breathes well and wicks away moisture at the same time, ensuring optimal comfort. The wool naturally contains lanolin, which is extremely odour-resistant and keeps the wool soft and clean for a long time. Besides that, the Tagi Merino Pullover comes with three button-up pockets on the lower back and a zipped chest pocket. There is a second zip at the collar to make pulling it over your head or helmet a little easier. The sweater is available for € 160 in six different colours and sizes.

Zipped up and sweaty
Fortunately not! Together with the sweater, the climate always remains pleasant

Both the vest and the sweater perform great by themselves. Not only do they make you look unusually good on your bike, but you’ll also be prepared for when things suddenly get cold. Together, however, they reveal their full potential not only in terms of style but also in function. As soon as temperatures drop below 10°, your torso remains warm and shielded from wind by the windproof fabric. The Merino sweater effectively regulates your temperature of your arms, which don’t freeze thanks to the wool, while still offering ventilation and wicking away perspiration. Both pieces also look rather good together!

Bring on autumn and spring. Due to their high-quality workmanship, functionality and undeniably good looks, the PEdAL ED Tagi Merino sweater and the TSUIN REVERSIBLE VEST are our new favourite combination in this year’s GRAN FONDO autumn collection.
