Lezyne Mega XL and Mega C – New GPS bike devices
Lezyne has introduced two new bicycle computers: the Mega XL and the Mega C. The battery life, display and design have been improved over previous models. All the important information about the new GPS computers from the USA can be found here.
Lezyne Mega XL and Mega C – Routing
The new GPS bicycle computers from Lezyne enable online and offline route creation. After downloading the map of the region of your choice to the device, you can create routes on your smartphone without any need of reception, and send it directly to the bicycle computer via Bluetooth. While navigating you can always see your location and the route while being guided turn-by-turn. Thanks to the Lezyne Ally App, once you’ve added their email addresses in the app, friends and acquaintances can track you in real time.
Lezyne Mega XL and Mega C in comparison
Both the Lezyne Mega XL and the Mega C were designed, developed and produced in-house. As a unique feature, the Mega XL can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. The screen display changes depending on the way it’s tilted, and the data fields can be individually arranged to your liking. With the Lezyne Ally app, the rider is notified of incoming calls, text messages and social media notifications on both devices. In addition, the Lezyne GPS platform automatically synchronises with Strava, TrainingPeaks or Today’s Plan after the ride. So you can follow Strava Live segments and create your own workouts. The two Lezyne bike computers are now available in stores for € 199.95 while the Lezyne Ally App and the Lezyne Root website remain free.

Lezyne Mega XL and Mega C – Our opinion
With the Mega XL and the Mega C, Lezyne is taking its bicycle computers a decisive step further. If the promised battery life of 42 h for the Mega XL proves true in real life tests, the new concept is also exciting for the long-distance riders among us. We were impressed with the communication between smartphone and GPS device during a first test at Eurobike. We’re looking forward to the first tests on the road!
