Less than a year after the successful launch of the Canyon Inflite CF SLX cyclocross bike, Canyon have expanded their offerings when it comes to this race-oriented off-roader with the launch of the CF SL and AL SLX models. Find out all the information below.

Unlike their top-end sibling the CF SLX, Canyon’s Inflite AL SLX and CF SL are constructed with more budget-conscious materials and technologies.

Whether you’re an ambitious cyclocrosser or a beginner looking to get a muddy foot in this door, it looks like Canyon have covered all bases by deploying a diverse range of carbon builds and aluminium frames on their Inflite line-up. With one AL SLX, four CF SL and one CF SLX versions of the Canyon Inflite now on the market, there are no fewer than six builds to choose from, plus a CF SL frame kit.

Alongside the six different builds, there’s also the option to buy a Canyon CF SL frameset.

All of the models share the same ‘Cross Pro’ geometry as the top-shelf Canyon 2018 Inflite CF SLX. Short chainstays and a short stem are a guarantee of great agility on twisty circuits, while the long reach and central riding position ensure you remain in control–a trait we already applauded on the Canyon CF SLX.

The ‘Cross Pro’ geometry with short chainstays and a short stem should make the Canyon Inflite models come alive on tight and twisty tracks.

For frame sizes 3XS and 2XS, Canyon continue to rely on the use of 650B wheels to achieve the same style of handling. All of the models deploy a full carbon fork with flat mount disc brake mounts and 12×100 mm thru-axle.

The super affordable Inflite AL SLX 6.0 Race starts from € 1,399.

Depending on the model, there’s the choice between SRAM or Shimano, as well as 1x or 2x. Then there’s the decision about whether to adopt Canyon’s integrated cockpit or a conventional handlebar-stem setup. Prices start at € 1,399 for the Inflite AL SLX 6.0 Race and go up to € 4,599 for the top model, the Inflite CF SLX 9.0 Race. So whether you’re contending for the podium as an out-and-out racer or just starting out in cyclocross, Canyon’s range should leave everyone satisfied.
