Morocco Atlas Mountains

Growing in popularity each year as a cycling destination, Morocco delivers pretty unique terrain and culture to feast upon. The Atlas Mountains are a favourite but during the winter months the Anti-Atlas, meaning Lesser Atlas, are better to ride at a more agreeable altitude and temperature.
The Anti-Atlas range extends all the way to Ouarzazate, covering nearly 290 km. A lot of tours begin in the Sahara Desert to combine a mix of mountains and desert scenery before finishing on the shores of the Atlantic. It might sound trite, but tours are the best way to explore Morocco and make life easier, giving you a more relaxed holiday.

Cities, like Taroudant, Tafraoute and Tiznit, are great stop-offs for resting, eating and exploring. Between these cities, roads are your viewing platforms to incredible rock formations, cliffs and prehistoric rock carvings.
