The growing popularity of Gravelbikes can be heard reverberating in the gravel paths around Europe. The idea of the sensation and speed of a road bike on all terrains was VOTECS’s plan for the new VRX. Find all information in the official Press Release:

For us, Gravel begins when you start thinking outside the box – and decide for yourself how, what, and where you are going to cycle. What had hitherto remained wishful thinking for some, or a one off production for others, has now become a reality: the VRX is now available as a production bike. We are convinced that the Gravel trend will become a new and perma-nent segment, gaining enthusiastic supporters from both roadbikers and mountainbikers alike.”

The wintery setting of La Palma offered the perfect backdrop for the launch of the new VOTEC VRX. The lonely country roads, the seemingly endless high winds in the mountain passes, and the woodland paths carpeted in pine needles and striking black gravel provided the perfect playground for the VRX.

“The VRX didn’t break with racing traditions, it established new ones. It is for cyclists who do not want to set any limits on their bicycle, who forge their own path, and know that an off-road detour is worth the effort.” – Stephan Geiß, Brand Manager VOTEC.

More roadbike than traditional cyclocrossbike in terms of handling, but at least as potent off the road. On smooth surfaces the VRX keeps pace with the purebred road bikes – and when the road turns rough, leaves them in the dust. With 35mm wide tyres and perfectly integrated disc brakes, off-road escapades are a jaunt in the park. An optimized gear ratio for fast asphalt sections as well as steep terrain stretches means that the VRX is raring to get out of the starting blocks: ready to create its own path without compromising on the dynamic handling of a road bike.
