When it comes to custom build steel bike-craft Sacha White, founder of The Vanilla Workshop and Speedvagen, knows how to romance his customers. Original designs and colour palettes are what they say attract a lot of their customers to their bikes. But with 150 hours devoted to each build there’s more to these bikes than a lick of paint. Interested? He’s putting on his first ever European Fitting Tour.

Sacha White takes the fitting of his bikes very seriously

Designing and making bikes that will make you drool more than a pack of Pavlov’s dogs isn’t just what it’s about, Sacha White also offers bike fitting to all customers which is mainly done out of their Portland, Oregon base. As White believes a fit helps people achieve the ride feel that you invest into buying the bike in the first place; balance being key.

“Part of the equation of a good fit is being in the right shape on the bike. The shape can be achieved on a stock size, by changing the length of stem, seatpost setback, etc. The more important (and more elusive) piece though, is balance. A rider can have the right shape, but have their weight shifted too far forward, or too far back. The result of not being balanced is the rider fighting the position on the bike.”

The European Tour will mean you will be able to test, fit and order with Sacha himself.

The European Fitting Tour

This year from August 26th – September 11th White will be crossing the Atlantic and doing his first ever European Fitting Tour for Speedvagen. As part of this there will be rides, demos, a Fit Clinic as well as fittings for a custom Speedvagen bike.
